She was born in Roswell on March 29, 1985. Gerina Michelle Mendoza has been her name. Gerina Stevenson's parents are Mexican Alan Stevenson & Rita Stevenson. She has Mexican heritage, but is American as a national. Since she was a child she's been extremely keen on playing sports. Gerina began to play golf when she was just 15 years old. Gerina finished her high-school education through Goddard High School. When she was in high school, she won her first prize in the New Mexico state golf tournament. Also, she was a volleyball player who competed on the level of state. She attended an institution called the University of Texas in 2003. In her senior year, she took home the top prize in every single tournament that she participated. In the course of her undergraduate studies she won the titles that included Conference USA Female Athlete and Conference USA Individual Player of the Year.
